I use Paint a lot to make source files for Photo Story and Movie Maker
projects...... Microsoft released a new app today that is in beta, a free
download, and will work till Oct 1... from what I read it might be a big
step up from Paint... here's the link:

I downloaded it... but didn't get a chance to install it yet...

I downloaded when it was Expression and thus free forever (I deleted all files for this sub standard program last week). It's not a good program. It had a horrid UI. While Acrillic may be different, I doubt it.

Acrylic has a learning curve. Unlike Paint it is a vector program. Expressions and
Acrylic have wonderful tools. I wish the interface was more Microsoft like, but maybe
when the full version is released...

I didn't have problems with Corel Draw 3, nor MSDraw (I had Corel so I could save my MSDraw drawings). Could use both as soon as I saw the program the first time. I only use vector drawing tools (so that they are portable) mostly for logos.
