Microsoft Access Performance Issues

I would like to know what kind of performance to expect from Access 2003 in
terms of access speed etc as the size of the database increase. Is there a
maximum size for optimum performance?

Look forward to your help.

Thanks,

Thanks John. I actually found out somewhere in Access Help that the maximum
capacity of the database is 2GB. The performance tips from the site were
quite useful though.

Thanks again.

That's a hard limit in a .mdb or .accdb format database; if you're expecting a
larger database (in fact anything over 1.5GByte) you should certainly put the
data into SQL/Server or into some other client/server database. Access will
still make an excellent user interface to the data, though.
