Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license for it on this machine

I already have Office 2003 installed on my machine prior to installing
Office 97. Installation of Office 97 went through fine, and I can
access Excel and Word with no problem, but when I tried to go to
Access 97, it gave me an error "Microsoft Access can't start because
there is no license for it on this machine". How can I fix this
problem ? Thanks.

Thank you.
Yes, that works. I followed the steps in "Rename a Font, and Then Reinstall
Microsoft Access".

Thanks !

Hi,
I tried this procedure covered in Q141373 and it did not work. I installed
Word, Access etc seperately so they do not show up under Add/Remove Programs
so I could not proceed from this step in the article. My programs are
installed under C:\program files\office\msaccess.exe etc. As per prior posts
Office97 - Word,Excel @ Powerpoint work ok with WinXP +sp2. The error message
I get when trying to start up Access97 is "16 Bit Windows Subsystem" title of
dialog box. Message: C:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and MS Windows applications.
Please help.
Thanks in advance
Barry
