Microsoft 2002 unable to open e-mail folders

Wes

I just purchased a new Computer with Microsoft XP. It had
a Microsoft Office 2003 program on it with a trial time
of just a few days, so i put My Microsoft Office XP 2002
program on it and removed the Office 2003 program, since
it was already paid for. But when I try to open the
Microsoft Office 2002 program I get a message saying that
it is "Unable to open Default e-mail folders. Try again"

I have tried again and again, reinstalled, tried all I
could think of (which I will admit isn't much) What am i
doing wrong? What can I do to get this going?

Thanks

Go into your control panel, the mail section and click on profiles and
delete all the profiles. When you open Outlook again, it will ask you to
create a new profile, you can then select it as your default profile.
Make sure to do a search for all your pst files (*.pst) and delete them
before opening Outlook after deleting the profiles, so it will create a new
personal folders set. If you have an old contact list on another computer
you can export your contact list to a file and then import it into the new
set.
