Microsofr Windows Automatic Updates

I am having trouble installing microsoft automatic windows updates on my
Windows Proff. Xp computer. I have recently installed service pack 2 but
don't know if this has anything to do with the problem. The message I get
when trying to get new updates is "Windows Update has encountered an error
and cannot display the requested page. You may find the following resouces
helpful in resolving the problem. I don't. The error Nr. is 0x80070424. Can
anybody help please.

There are two things you can try:-

See if this helps::
1. Click Start.
2. Choose Run.
3. In the Run box, type (or copy/paste from this post)
regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll (note the space there in the middle)
4. Click OK.

After the regsvr32 command, start regedit.exe
and locate the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wuauserv

If you find a DeleteFlag value there, delete the DeleteFlag value.
