microsft keboard prob/ hot keys not working

don't get it? calc button, my doc. button, whatever, only half of the keys
work.
properly installed and still not a go
 
Remove the keyboard software. Reboot. Reinstall the correct keyboard
software.

Could very well be. But doing as I have said will cost you only some time!
Then buy a new keyboard if you need it.
