I am shopping for a computer microphone and not sure what features it should
have. Can anyone recommend the type of microphone (features it should have)
I should get to record narration in a PowerPoint presentation that will be
saved on a CD?

Their are plenty of options for microphones. If you are looking for
high-quality professional results, these are the two units I have had very
good results with:

1. MXL DRK COMPUTER Microphone by Marshall/MXL. Approx. $100 and is a real
microphone, designed specifically for narration recording.

2. Plantronics DSP 500 Headset. This is a USB based headset with fantastic
recording clarity and ease of use. Approx. $75.

I vote for the USB version. The advantage is the signal is digital and is
not subject to the "noise" inside the PC.

Thank you both for the quick response. But, are there any a little cheaper?
I don't think my company wants to spend that much.

You can try Radio Shack, but you get pretty much what you pay for when it
comes to a decent mic.

That's exactly how I feel about it too. Thanks again for the info. Bye

Double that if it's a laptop.
