Microphone trouble

hi i have a Acer Aspire 5000 series notebook but i have a trouble with my
audio i installed de audo driver and all is ok but the trouble is with the
microphone i can't ear when i talki inmy phone i can't ear nothing inc. the
line in i can't listen the music recording i see that in the audio but i
can't ear the music in my line in including the microphone only supose that
the audio is playing in my laptop but not ear nothing thanks

First, chcek the Sound applet in Control Panel or just double click the
speaker icon in the notification area near the clock in the taskbar and be
sure Line-in isn't muted or volume turned down so low no sound can be heard
through the mic.

If that's fine, it's possible, the current soundcard drivers for your system
aren't supporting the function. Many soundcard drivers are either still in
beta testing or are only supporting basic functions. You need to check the
soundcard manufacturer's website to see if the drivers you are using are up
to date and whether or not, the drivers are out of beta and whether or not
the only support basic functions. If these are full function drivers and
out of beta, you need to contact the soundcard manufacturer's tech support.
