.mht file

Could any one tell me what this file extension is(.mht). I'm guessing
?meta?hypertext I searched the boards but no luck. I just noticed it after I
did alot of copy & paste from a word doc to web page. I know I didn't create
it. Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, you can, thought I have seen firefox prompt me to download the file
instead of opening it.

It may not work for all user, you might consider creating your document as a PDF.
