how do i stop windows messenger opening up - i have gone through the normal
ways to do it, but it didn't work, and it still appears in the tray when i
open outlook express - any ideas ??

ok, just ignore or preferably remove these two posts! Silly me didnt spot a
whole section on messenger issues, however its not causing any problems per
say , so I am just going to leave it where it is . Sorry.

In Outlook Express:
a: In Tools - Options - Uncheck 'automatically log on to Messenger'

b: In View - Layout, uncheck Contacts (this uses Messenger to manage
them)
