Messenger Plus!

After viewing another post in this section I visited
http://msgplus.net/ Is this a MS version of MSN/Windows
Messenger? I'm leery of d/l anything that might bug
things up. I use Windows XP Home Edition, and MSN 8.

No, this is a third party tool which "connects" into MSN or Windows Messenger -- it is
actually a Messenger client.
