My wife does not use messenger.

My son's friend logged onto his messenger on her desktop.

Every time she logs on, she automatically gets recognised as this other
character, messages keep popping up and she could (if she wanted) log on and
join in conversations nothing to do with her!!

We cannot get rid of the account!! It keeps coming back. Even without
messenger loaded on logon she still gets alerts for the other account.

I have gone into options and unticked everything. I have tried everything I
can think of (and more).

Once we thought we'd done it but all we had managed was to change his
friend's user name!!

Messenger help doesn't seem to have anything about deleting accounts - all
refer to central deletion - not deletion from a specific computer.

I can't find messenger on the uninstall menu in control panel (my wife
doesn't use messenger). (I do).

Can anyone help? Please!! She just wants to be left alone!!

Nick

Not sure, but try control panel, user accounts, click on her account, then click "Manage my network
passwords" in the left-hand pane. See if there's an entry there that looks like the problem. If
so, delete it.
