Messed up permissions

I disabled Simple permissions in my system to be able to play with
them a bit as there are a couple of us using the same PC. Not sure
what I did but now when I create a new folder even in the root of any
of the partitions by default only the System account has full control
(greyed out). Although my account and all the other's are listed in
the security tab but by default no permissions are ticked. Any idea
what can be the problem and how do I fix it?
Thanks

Thanks mate but it didn't work. Thing I noticed some Access Denied
when writing to registry.
It just changed the folder options to Simple File Sharing and that's
all.
After disabling it I've got the same story where after creating a
folder in the root of any of the partitions
I have no access to it by default. When I go to the security tab of
any partition I have only the option to
Replace Entries On All Child Objects... but it doesn't mention
anything about inheritance.

Additionally I noticed now that all other accounts except for mine are
gone.

Sorry, but you've quoted nothing of the original message or any other
messages that are in this thread. As a result, I, and many of the rest
of us here, have no idea what you are talking about.

Except for those of us who keep old messages in our newsreader, just
for situations like this.

And then added what you replied to above:

I found this registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList

and guess what... it doesn't list any of our accounts
although I can still see my account when Windows
starts up and I can find other users profiles.
