i perform preventative maintenance for a doctors surgery, recently i have been asked if it were possible to set up an internal messaging service. it would be a silent system to inform doctors of call's or appointments while with a patient, and not to interrupt the appointment

any help with what programs to use or how to set it up would be helpfu

thanks

you mean, something like icq?

you can use windows messaging if your network is link up in domain. I
believe the command is "net send <username>". You can type "net help send"
for more information.

I have tried out tonic of r2studio and it looks good. however it is a third
party software and I hold no responsibility. ;-P
