Messaging interface has returned an unknown error

When trying to delete emails in certain folders under my Inbox I receive the
error "Messaging interface has caused an unknown error" . A few days ago I
ran the Scanpst.exe for a different reason which found some errors but all
folders and emails seemed to be still in place. Now I'm having trouble
deleting emails. I run Scanpst several more times but it finds no errors.
Any ideas? Thanx in advance

You may have to make a new PST and copy all but the failing items to it.
