Messages stuck in outbox

From the very begining, my mail messages get stuck in the out box and do not
send right away. How do I get my messages to be sent right away without
waiting. Please help. I have tried playing with the setting with no success.

If the KB941090 hotfix allows you to empty the Outbox, but does not help
enough, start Windows Mail, click on Tools, then Options, then Send.
If there is no checkmark in the box before Send messages immediately,
click on this box, then Apply. Click on OK. This should at least make it
try harder to send the messages immediately.
