Messages not in inbox flagged for reminder do not work

Sorry if that subject seemed a little difficult to understand....

I am running Outlook 2003 (off of Exchange Server 2003)... anyway, when I
flag a message to remind me, but then move it out of the inbox into another
subfolder that I have created (surprisingly called "for follow up" :) I do
not get reminded.

Is this behavior by design? I would like to mark messages for follow-up and
then set a time to remind me, and then move them out of my inbox.

Any help would be appreciated,

Craig

Yes, this is by design -- reminders only fire for items in the Inbox,
Calendar, Contacts and Tasks folders in the default mail store. You'd need
a third party utility to extend the reminder capability to other folders.
Two such utilities can be found at www.slovaktech.com.
