messages from server to outlook results in many duplicates

messages from server to outlook results in many duplicates
I need to leave messages on server for collection on web from other
computers but do not want multiple copies on my computer every time we send
and receive all
 
What version of Outlook do you have? When you get duplicates, do you get
duplicates of all the mail that is left on the server, or just some of the
messages?
