Message Rules, sees email as newsgroup

I've got a problem where emails that are part of a mailing list, somehow
Mail thinks they are newsgroups.

Spefically, they are from the odftk-dev mailing list, which is about
developing a tool kit for ODF file manipulation.

So, when I try to create a rule, there is no "Move to folder" choice
available.

Any ideas on how to force Mail to realize this is not a newsgroup, but
simply an email?

I'd remove the mail account, close and reopen WinMail and add the mail
account back again.

Then go to Tools | Message Rules | Mail and try setting up the rule again.
