Message reminders keep popping up even after flag is cleared

I just finished using the Oversized PST Crop Tool and
Inbox Repair Tool to fix my PST file. Fortunately, I
didn't lose anything vital in the process, but now,
everytime I start Outlook, several dozen reminder windows
pop up, regardless of whether the messages are flagged for
follow up. I have tried dismissing them and opening each
one and clearing the flag, but they still keep popping up.
Nothing short of deleting the message (not really a viable
option) stops it.

Anybody know how to correct this?

I'd start using a new pst

I did, in fact start a new .pst, and imported whatever
messages were recovered from the old one.
