Message Recovery/Reconstruction from Journal Logs

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to recover or rebuild a single message
from an old E00 transaction log file? I have a backup of E00 files that have
long since been committed, but we are looking to recover just one particular
message that would have been contained in one of the transaction logs from
that time.

No - I don't believe this is possible at all, certainly not natively. Do you
have any backups from that time? However, an Exchange newsgroup would be a
better place to post - this group is for Outlook.

Doable? YES, easily?, NO! I would suggest asking on one of the Exchange
server newsgroups such as Microsoft.Public.Exchange.Admin
