In Outlook 2002, we don not see messages marked with
Private Sensitivty in secondary Mailboxes, even if that
user is set as the "owner" of that mailbox. This is the
case with almost all off our users and Mailboxes, however
there is one user who is an Owner who is a secondary user
of a mailbox and can see the Private message. Does anyone
know what we need to set so that a Secondary user can
view these messages.

I am on

(e-mail address removed)

for an alternative place to respond.

Many Many Thanks,

Bhav

This is a permission setting. Tools-> Options-> tab Permissions-> option at
the bottom

Roady,

Can't find this option. I am looking under Tools,
Options, but there is no permissions tab. (This is in the
main File menu of Outlook)

Thanks,

Bhav

Are we talking about Exchange mailboxes?

Are your Exchange add-ins enabled? Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button
Advanced Options-> button Add-in Manager. You should be having a Permissions
tab then right next to the "Other" tab

Roady,

In the Add in Manager I have the following options.

LDVP
Delegate Access
Deleted Item Recovery
Exchange Extentions Command
Exchange Extentions Property Pages
Server scripting

The first five are checked and server scripting is
unchecked. I don't see a permisions tab, but do see a
delegates tabs. I am lost!

Thanks,

Bhav

Hi Bhav,

Delegates tab it is. I was on a Dutch machine today so I had the translation
wrong; sorry about the confusion.

Back at my comfortable English machine now :-)

On the Delegates tab select (or add) the person you want to allow to see
private items. Press the Permissions button (yes, permissions this time :-)
and a new screen will pop-up. At the bottom you can set the option "Delegate
can see my private items"

Regards,
