I'm using Outlook 2003 and GMail POP3. When receiving messages from
restaurant.com, which were readable recently after downloading. they now
appear as a series of url's, e.g.

There is also the note in Outlook that "extra line breaks in this message
were removed". I don't know if this is relevant.

I have the same problem with a newsletter received from an electrical power
utility.

I saved a copy of the message on my gmail.com account and it is fully
readable there so I assume the problem is with an Outlook setting.

Will someone please help?

Thanks,
Irish

Message type is either Plain Text or HTML (or RTF, if it comes from
Outlook). The way an email is shown is determined by the message type.
