message freezes during spell check

Occasionally an email will freeze during spell check, entire message turns
light grey. Spell check never completes, have to restart windows mail and
message is lost. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't seen that problem, but you may want to try the fix that works
for many spell check problems. Click on Tools, then Options, then
Spelling, then the triangle to the right of English, then some other
language, then Apply, then the triangle again, then English, then Apply
again, then OK.

Also antivirus programs and other security programs tend to cause many
of the problems seen in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
What if any such programs do you have?

If you used the standard install, it may help to uninstall it, then
do a custom install where you tell it to leave out the part that
scans email.
