Merging user accounts

I have a laptop that I take with me as I visit different companies I consult with. When I change domains in order to access local systems, the operating system creates a new user account and directory structure for my username.domain. When I log on, My Documents points to the new structure instead of where I have install all of my data. Is there any way to merge the structures together or to make Windows use the old directory structure with the new username.domain?

Thanks, Dave

Why not add programs and files to the 'all users' / 'shared folder' then
they can be accessed wherever you are, and have the individual user account
folders empty?
