Merge Excel data into word

I'm trying really hard to merge excel data into word letters. each record is
in one row in excel and it needs to be put in various places in the word
document and then figures in the word document need to be added up? Can you
direct me how to begin or to an online tutorial?

Is this a mailmerge, or are you just trying to link your Word document to an Excel workbook?

In retrospect, I made it way harder than I had to. I just did a little
mailmerge and it worked beautifully. I just needed to calm down. Thanks for
trying to help!
