Merge Excel data into Powerpoint certificate

A

Annette

I have a certificate created in powerpoint that I want to
merge data from an excel file into. I don't see any way
to insert merge fields onto my powerpoint slide. Is this
possible?

Thanks in advance,

My two cents...

I've always done my certificates in MS Word - precisely because of the Merge
capability in word.

It will probably not take you too long to build the certificate in Word but
in the end, you'll be glad you did.

There's no way to do it in PPT alone, but as Mark mentions, Word can do it.
You can export your PPT file as a graphic (File, Save As, choose your desired
format from Files Of Type, etc) and use that in Word as the certificate
background to save some time.

There's also our PPTools Merge addin, a commercial product designed to do just
this (and quite a bit more). There's a free demo and more info at
