Menu bar in Vlista

When I open Internet explorer there is no menu bar present at the top of the
page. When I go to tools, or right click and open the toolbars it shows
that 'menu' is checked off and is there, but it isn't. When I tried to
uncheck it, nothing happened. I have tried everything but can't get it to
appear, thus I can't copy or save or do anything that would be on the menu
bar. However, when I open Mozilla firefox the menu bar IS there, with
file, edit, view, tools, etc.

While I do use Mozilla most of the time there are times when I want to use
explorer if I could only find the menu bar. Dell was of no help. In fact
they were the ones to suggest using Mozilla to solve the problem. I know
that someplace in Explorer there is a box, an icon or something that needs
to be clicked or unchecked and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi,

It may be hidden by another toolbar, try right clicking and unchecking 'lock
the toolbars' and make sure the menubar is checked. Then move some of the
others around to see if you can locate it.

What happens when you press Alt? That should highlight a menu choice and
maybe show you where the menu might be hidden.

Thanks, you were right. When I closed both the Norton and Google toolbar
the menu bar popped in. when I clicked on the ALT key it just did nothing,
but for now the problem is solved.
