Memory

When I run System Information the summary shows that I have 512MB of memory.
I have 2 x 512MB DDR400 PC3200 strips as supplied by nanya. My mobo is a MSI
MS-6741.

Why is System Information showing only 512MB of memory?
 
I have run The memory test from crucial.com and it reports there is 2 strips
of 256MB. I have also run memtest36+ but this reports no problems.

One has to be wrong!!
