Memory Module Installation Question

hey:

The situation is that the computer(is a compaq presario SR1110NX) has
installed a memory module (Samsung) of 256 mb (PC2300) and is a DDR SDRAM.
There are two memory sloths, and one is being used (the 256) When i went to a
website where they manufacture meory modules,(PNY) it says that I must use a
DDR DIMM 256MB (PC2700) is that safe to install the DDR DIMM memory module?

You need to scan your system using Crucial's tool so that you don't have
mismatched module.
