Added RAM Module But Not Detected?

im running on a p4 win xp 256 mb of ram 3ghz. my original 256 ram module is a
pc3200 ddr-sdram 400 compatible, i bought a new pc3200 ddr 256 module, i
plugged it in the pc, rebooted, all went alright but when i check in
System>general i have only 256 mb of ram but theres a new thing, Physical
Address Extension, does it mean something? is there a bios config to do or
what .. i need to get it to 512 mb.

1. Make sure the new RAM is seated well.

2. Does the BIOS detect it?

Enter the BIOS and check whether it's listed there or not.
