Memory Leak

When I opened IE and let it stand idle for a couple of
hours, the system starts to slow down. I suspect there is
a memory leak somewhere in the system.

How do I fix this problem?

What is running that you are not aware of?

Run MSCONFIG from the start/run applet, under StartUp.
