Latest version of IE6 leaks

I have IE with the latest updates to v. 6.0.2800.1106. The browser
periodically slows to a crawl, even on fast sites such as Google, etc. I
have to shut the browser down and restart, whereupon the same sites load at
normal speeds. This problem began only a few updates ago. I suspect
somebody's code has a serious memory leak.

Parasites calling home while you wait.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

I've been using Adaware, Norton AV 2003, and ZAP. I haven't run Spybot in a
while, but nothing should be able to call home with internet servers
blocked.

I agree, but if all fails, you may consider finding help with the expert.

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

If you get a 404 error or Access denied, try:
http://216.180.252.218/~spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, then copy and paste both files in your message.

This may be the case. I reinstalled and updated SpyBot and ran the
additional scan options as well. Found BlazeFind, KeenValue,
ShopatHome.VX2, etc. The problem with IE6 hasn't recurred so far.
