memory issue

hello,

I recently added another 128mb 133mhz module to my hp pavillion 7880 and
started to experience problems. I removed the module and all is well again.
Both modules are the same spec, 128mb, 133mhz. The only difference is that
the new memory is double sided and has 16 chips in total where as my
original module is single sided with only 8 chips. What this be the problem
and what is the best practice.

1)buy another 128mb, 133mhz single sided
2)buy 2 new 256mb modules that are the same.

I just want my computer working again!

cheers,

john
