Memory extension for HP Laserjet 1320

I wonder whether it is possible to extend the memory of my HP Laserjet
1320 with standard memory modules instead of HP supplied ones. Is there
any feature of the printer known that prevents this? If not, has anyone
tried this successfully and which kind of modules would be needed?
