Hello,

When I try to open Nod32 Antivirus, I get an error message that
Kernel32.dll is moved in the internal memory and that mpr.dll has
occupied a memory address which is reserved for Windows system-dll
files. Contact the manufacturer of the dll-file to resolve the problem.

Help would be appreciated.

Did you consider checking the Norton FAQ pages?

No, it's not a Symantec product. I did a google and a search on
Microsoft knowledge base without finding anything. To me it seems more
like a Windows problem than a software issue. But you're the expert.

I'm not an expert at all on Nod Antivirus but my recommendation
remains the same: Check out the Nod Antivirus site. Google lists
more than 7000 hits against the strings "Nod" and "Antivirus".

Considering that I have never seen the message you report, either
on the many machines I'm responsible for nor in this newsgroup,
I suspect that you're dealing with an incompatibility between your
antivirus program and Windows 2000. This is why you should
have a look at the Nod site!

Thanks,

I did a new google and found this article. It seems that my problem is
related to some of the newest patches, Q824141. I use automatic updates
and always update when I'm recomended to. My language version of Windows
is Swedish.

Additional information: I uninstalled the patch q824141 and now Nod32
runs fine. It seems that this patch has caused problems with many more
programs than Nod32 on international versions of Windows 2000 SP4.

Tack!

By the way: This patch, q824141 has been updated, and I installed the
update and Nod32 still runs fine. Obviously Automatic Updates doesn't
react on updated hotfixes, only these not applied.
