Memory card manager

I just bought a new computer with Windows Media Center Edition on it. It
also has 7 USB ports and 5 smart-card slots for digital photo cards. I
created an incrypted volume on the C: drive which I gave the letter Z: and
added some photos to the encrypted volume. When I try to unload the
encrypted volume, I get a message that it cannot lock the special volume
because another application is using a file on the volume. The "other
application" that is accessing a file on the special volume is Memory Card
Manager.

I would prefer that memory card manager be activated for the drives
associated with the 5 memory cards for digital photos, but not be activated
for drive Z:. How can I accomplish this?

I have already done the following.

1. I have selected a letter as far from the digital photo memory cards as
possible, namely Z:.

2. I have set autoplay for the hidden drive to be "No Action" for each type
of data listed (music, photos, videos, mixed).

If I uninstall Memory Card Manager, it appears that it will not be available
for the purpose it was intended, namely processing the memory cards put into
the slots in the front of the machine.

What can I do to solve the problem?

Thank you for your help.

I found the answer to this myself. Memory Card Manager has a tab (called
"Other Devices" I believe) in which you can ask it to not monitor specific
drives.
