Memory bank does not work

I've installed probably ddr memory which is defective...when i powered on my
comp. it went wild. It turned it self off and after couple of seconds back
on. Since then when i use memory which is 100% ok in this memory bank, comp.
does not work, but if i use it in other mem. Banks it works fine. WTF!?



Is it possible that this bank is now defective and that other two are ok?

some motherboard have 2 DDR and 2SD-Ram banks did you check this??
and if you use dual channeling DDR you have to use the right bank and
the same DDR size.
