I'm receiving this message when I boot up Windows XP Pro and when I try to
run MSCONFIG and REGEDIT. Can anyone tell me what's causing this and what
to do to fix it? Thanks.......

Bobby

I use Norton Anti-Virus - but it won't run now (I get the same error
message). Is there a way to eliminate the virus from my system using the
Norton CD?

Bobby

Sorry, but the CD is older than the virus!
Go to the Symantec website and download the cure, then update your Norton
antivirus through Symantec (you do have a subscription, right?)

PS: Firewall and MS Security updates are a must for the other viruses out
there.

Thanks, everyone, for the advice. I WAS infected with the SWEN virus - but
it's all cleared up now.
