Memorized Address

Evidently Outlook memorizes addresses even though they are
not in your Address Book. In my case I use a Personal
Address Book. When entering a name it the TO line. It
suggests names as I type. I like this feature, but it
always comes up with names that are not in my address
book, but are addresses which were probably included in
emails I have recieved in the past. How can I clear these
addresses and prevent Outlook from saving or memorizing
them?

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q287623

Turn off Autocompletion in Tools > Options > Preferences > E-mail options...
Advanced E-mail options > "Suggest names..."

BTW, you should use the Outlook Address Book, not a PAB. PAB's were replaced
by the Outlook Address Book years ago.

Thanks. It worked great. Will also look into using The
Outlook Address Book.
