Memo to Staff Re Bonuses:
Pleaase be reminded that all the rumours you have heard over the years about
how bonuses are determined, such as (insert applicable rumors: drugs, sex,
lies, nepotism, favoritism, fetishism, fatalism, feminism, voyeurism,
autism, rheumatism, astigmatism, alcoholism, hooliganism, solipsism,
plagiarism, blackmail, office politics, sexual politics, national politics,
little black bags, little black dresses, big black cars, kickbacks,
embezzlement, the petty cash drawer, the football pool, the swimming pool,
loan sharking, card sharking, endowments, endearments, agreeing to take the
boss's butt-ugly son/daughter on a date, etc.), have NEVER been conclusively
proven in a court of law. I know, a few of those cases had us just a little
worried but, hey, we won! Get over it! It has always been and will always
be our policy that bonuses are only based on Merit and Performance! Okay?
