Memo format field data problem - Data import to Excel from databas

I have an Excel sheet that is refreshable through an import from an Access
database query connection.

When a memo formatted “Comment†field is imported into Excel, I get the
following entered in the “Comment†cells:
<div><font face=Arial size=2 color="#006666">REPORTS FOR 6-10-09 ARE READY
TO DO</font></div> <div> </div>

The “Comment†cell in Excel should say “REPORTS FOR 6-10-09 ARE READY TO DOâ€.

I don’t get this when I export directly from the Access database to Excel.
However, I do get the hard return characters.

I tried a test of this. I'm not getting this when I open the Excel file and
refresh the data. What versions of Access and Excel are you using? \K2H

K2H,

I'm using Excel 2007, importing from Access 2003. When I import into Excel,
I get formating codes like <div>, &nbsp and font
codes (see below). How can I get rid of them? I don't see them in Access,
only in Excel. It only happens with memo/comment fields. I tried doing a
Format in Access & this only caused it to be visible in Access.

<div><font face=Arial size=2 color="#006666">PBA data. (ALL VERSIONS
INCLUDING MONTANA)</font></div> <div> </div>

I want it to format the in Excel to look like this => PBA data. ;(ALL
VERSIONS INCLUDING MONTANA)

It sounds like it is possible that it is a version conflict between Excel and
Access.

Did it just starting doing this or always do it? Or did you change over to
Excel 2007 after using the query in in Excel 2003. Or just set it up
recently. You could try exporting the query from Access to an Excel
worksheet, and then using your current Excel 2007 file to read the exported
Excel worksheet.

I can't offer more advice on that, as I am not using 2007 yet. I have to
stay compatible at home with my work version, so I only have 2003 available
to test with.

Hope it at least provides some direction for where the problem might be
coming from.
