Member server or DC

I installed RRAS today on my main DC and it caused authentication issues for
people on my LAN. I had to uninstall it. What, if any, is the recommendation
for which type of server to install RRAS on? If it's ok to have it on a DC
what could have been causing the problems?

It is not enable RRAS on DC. Otherwise you may experience a name resolution or connectivity issue. If you do want to do so, the solution can be found this link,
