I read the compatability seceion and it did not show
windows ME. Isn't that supported. If not, will it be in
the near future?

Thanks
Frank

Not in the list, not supported at this time. Not sure if ME support is
planned for future release.

Not likely - MS announced that a tool was being developed from this beta
that would be freely available to licensed users of Windows XP. The core of
ME plus the lack of an authentication process for the OS means that ME is
probably not going to be brought along in the MS future. It would take too
much effort to create the patches and corrections to make ME an OS that
would work with XP certified software. This tool is a tool looking to the
future of Windows.

I would also tend to believe that there would not be any future version to
support ME, 95, 98/SE, etc because of the major differences from 2000 and
XP. But I don't work for MS, so who knows, maybe they will have a simialar
free product that protects those users. But yeah, it won't be the same app
that is meant for XP, 2000 and Server 2003.

May I suggest going to http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/default.mspx
for best practices. Be sure to watch the video!
There are other freeware/shareware scanners out there that will work on
Win98 & ME
systems. Thinking Spybot and Adaware just to name two.
