Meeting showing wrong time and date

N

NJ

I was not sure if this was an exchange or outlook issue, so I am starting
here. I have a computer user that when she creates a meeting and invites a
group (security or distribution created in exchange) for a particular day,
when the people in the group receive the meeting, it is showing the current
day with a random time and not the actual time of the meeting requested. In
doing tests, this happens on any computer I set her profile up on. Also,
when sending to individuals, they seem to reflect the correct day and time.
We are running exchange 2003 and outlook 2003. Any ideas of what might be
happening and how to fix?

is the random time off by even hours? have you checked the time zone and day
light time setting for her computer?

Hi Diane
Thanks for your response! Yes, the computer sending the meeting/appt has
the correct time zone and correct time. The random time is off by even
hours, seems closest to when the actual meeting was sent out. When the
meeting is sent to me, individually, it comes through with the correct time
and date, but when the meeting is sent to me as a part of a email group, the
time and date is off. It is bizzare.

Ok. I have been doing some tests. Testing from my email, the same thing is
happening, where when I send to a security or distribution group that was
created on exchange/active directory, the date and time is reflecting the
date and time I actually send it and not the date and time I am proposing.
When I send the meeting to indiviudal persons, it all shows up fine. Would
this be an exchange issue?

possibly. to clarify, it always happens when the group is a distribution
list, not just a bunch of names from the contacts or gal?
