I've got Office 2000 largely spread through the organisation, but all new users are getting 2003.

Meeting requests generated from OL2003 don't import correctly to OL2000 as a meeting request, but come through as text only.
The person reading it has a hard time deciphering the message to extract the details.

OL2000 was installed from an admin image, which is patched to SP3 + the outlook patch of Dec 6, 2002. (there are word/excel ones
too, but I can't see any more patches required to *Outlook* after that).

OL2003 has been fully patched too.

Mail is sent through Windows 2003's POP service. I don't believe the problem existed when we used MSMAIL, even though OL2003 isn't
supposed to support MSMAIL.

Ensure the reminder is unchecked when sending to Outlook 2000 recipients
from later versions of Outlook.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Dave Harry asked:

Thank you Milly. That's fixed it.
I take it then, there is *no* way to send with a reminder to OL2000 users?
