How can I get my meeting reminder and snoozes even when Outlook 2007 is
closed?

Thank you

You can't, as far as I know. Some of Outlook needs to be running to get
those things. As a matter of fact, I think the whole thing has to be running
to get what you want.

How can you think a program can operate without running? Can you open a Word
document if Word doesn't run? Can you operate your PC is Windows isn't
running?

Brian,

There are many things that I never thought could be done with many of the
Microsoft products until I asked. There are things that are done thru bat
files and auto exec, business rules etc in the background so I thought that I
would ask.

I know that I am not the only one who missed an important meeting because I
accidently closed OutLook.

I guess that I can't rely on Outlook to remind me of meetings if it is not
booted up. I would consider that a design flaw.

Eh? A "design" flaw? As Brian said, how on EARTH do you think that Outlook
(or ANY application) can work without it running?
Does your car go without the engine running? Does your washing machine run
without being switched on?
Use a BIT of common sense PLEASE....
