meeting invites moved to deleted folder

Why do the meeting notices I receive in Outlook 2000 get
moved into the deleted items folder after I accept the
meeting? Where can I changes this to leave them in my In
Box until I choose to delete them?
 
Because once you've accepted the meeting, you have the item in your
calendar. You don't need the meeting invite anymore. What's your goal?
 
I just found it unsettling to have a posting disappear
after reading it even if it is just a meeting notice.
 
You'll get used to it, I imagine. What would be the advantage of keeping it
in your inbox? You can modify it in your calendar. ;-)
