i have been having troubles now for some time with getting media playr 1 to
be seen on my ps3, the nework show the media share but the ps3 does not show
on the list of devices, is there soem sort of port that needs opening on my
modem router. do i need to somehow get UPnP working on my ps3, please help i
really need it

When i first connected my ps3 and my computer I went through my wmp11.
what you do is go to the library tab and go to media sharing, it should
bring up a window that shows the computers and devices you can share with.
the ps3 should show up as a unknown device. just allow it.

but on another story i managed to disable access to my ps3 from my computer
by mistake and now i cant reconnect them. so I am havening problems finding
my computer on my ps3 also.
