Windows XP Pro ships with Windows [of course] Media

Player. While it is okay is there a better media player

for:

1. Pictures, and

2. Sound?

And yes there is always better and more media players being upgraded or new
to the internet some free but most at a price,

If you havent got the latest media player of microsoft, the window media
player 10 here's the link to update your media player.

Windows Media Player has no native support for DVDs, unless you buy a
third-party plugin or program. For playing DVDs, PowerDVD is good.

This is one to stay away from, unless you want to be bomarded with
commercials and unless you want your computer to be filled with crap
that you will probably never manage to get rid of.
